Consuming Fire

We spent all morning and most of the afternoon at Agape Chapel. Pastor Frank Plummer taught the service this morning, and it went really well. Some of us had the opportunity to sit in on their Sunday school classes, and that was really fun too. Then we went straight to a high school in Luwero, and we only had about an hour and a half there. A lot of the kids at the school were very hard and not very receptive to us. They just recently had a fire in one of their dorms, and some of the students lost everything in that fire. Pastor Geoffrey Crosson did the teaching at the school again today, and, once again, the Lord did great things through it. We did not do an altar call today, but we believe that many seeds were planted. Please pray that the Lord continues to do a work at that school and to soften the hearts of those students. Tomorrow we are just spending the day with our personally sponsored Compassion children. How fun is that!? We are all very excited about tomorrow.

Consuming fire. A consuming fire leaves nothing behind but ash. Our GOD is a consuming fire and we need to be consumed by Him. Unfortunately we don't allow Him to burn away all evidence of us until only He remains. My prayer is that we, as the body of Christ, would allow Him to have His way with us ( no matter where we are or what we are doing). I know that He desires to use empty vessels. You guys have been experiencing the fire...I pray we back at home would be "burned up" as well. I pray as you return that your testimonies would cause us to go deeper. I know that each of you have a different sphere of influence and God will give each of you many opportunities to share. Please don't hold back...be bold! We need to hear and know all that God has done and wants to do. I think a lot of us have grown complacent and apathetic...how sad and disgusting. Sorry if I seem preachy I am just really burdened tonight. I love you all and am so excited to see what God has planned for you and our bodies (churches) when you return. Col. 3:2
Love Always,

P.S. Geoff I adore you!!!!! And so do all of your kids.
